The beginning

Flowit started operating in Estonia in 2007 as a subsidiary of the Swedish stock-listed company Knowit AB. We offered software quality-related services primarily to export markets. Our first major clients were Unibet and Aristocrat Lotteries.

Expanding horizon

In 2010, we started focusing on Estonian market. Our service portfolio now included software development and application management. Key projects included the development and management of Vodafone Italy’s Webmethods based central integration system, quality management of the Estonian Central Securities Depository’s core system, preparation of technical documentation and test automation for SK ID Solutions (formerly known as Certification Centre), and the preliminary analysis, quality management, and testing of the Estonian Parliament's voting system

A new chapter

In 2012, Andres Aavik became the CEO of the company and is leading Flowit’s operations to this day. We executed several major development and management projects in the telecommunications sector, including the development of the core system for Greenland Telecom and the development and management of the billing system for TeliaSonera’s subsidiary, Sergel Kredittjänster. We collaborated with Telia Group companies in Estonia, Finland, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, providing them with services in test management, software release management and coordination, as well as test automation.

The first RPA service provider in the Estonian market

In 2015, we primarily focused on clients in the Estonian private sector. Our first pilot project for process automation (RPA, or robotic process automation) was commissioned by Tele2.

Specialising in RPA

In 2016, we expanded our focus in addition to test automation to process automation and in 2017, we directed our primary focus toward the RPA. Flowit team now consists of over 20 experienced professionals, including 8 licensed test managers. We have more experience in software quality and the RPA field than any other company in Estonia.

Flowit is based on Estonian capital

In 2018, CEO Andres Aavik and Business development manager Juhan-Madis Pukk acquired the company from the Swedish-owned and stock noted Knowit AB group and adopted the new business name Flowit Estonia OÜ. Knowit is now Flowit, a 100% Estonian company.
